Bergen County Academies Class of 2026

 

Leane is a freshman at the Bergen County Academies in the Academy of Visual Performing Arts - Music. Starting piano at the age of 4, she has been able to perform at Carnegie Hall, United Nations, the Hackensack Borough Hall, Buckingham Rehabilitation Center, and Kaufman Music Center. She is also the piano accompanist for the Camerata Youth Orchestra, and won 1st prize in a piano competition in 2021. Leane wants to make an impact on others through her music by spreading inspiration and passion while leading by example. She is very honored to be a part of the SMYH Youth Council, a unique environment where she is excited to grow as a musician through the irreplaceable leadership qualities that cannot be learned anywhere else. 

 

Aside from music, Leane also enjoys competition math problems. After taking the AMC 8 contest as a sixth grader and being placed in the Honor Roll, it piqued her interest with solving more competition math problems. She was a 2nd place winner for a Mental Arithmetic International Competition in San Francisco. Currently, she is still nurturing her love for math and is a part of the BCA Math Team.
