Bergen County Academy AMST Class of 2023

Benjamin is a High Honor Roll Student attending the Bergen County Academies in the Academy of Medical Science and Technology of the class of 2023. Ben has been a member of the SMYH youth council for the past 3 years and is the current president of the Youth Council and the president of the SMYH BCA club. Ben hopes he can share the amazing experience he had as a part of SMYH with other students and lead the youth council by example to continue to help students engage in society and make the world a better place. Outside of school and SMYH, Ben is also a member of USA swimming as a national-level swimmer. He currently swims for Scarlet Aquatics and has been a Finalist and Champion of numerous competitions including the Speedo Sectional Championship, So Zone South Sectional Championship, and NJ Swimming LC Junior Olympics, as well as being a Future Championship Qualifier. Through swimming, Ben has found many ways to give back to the community, volunteering as a Swim America Instructor to teach children how to swim and working as a Certified Redcross Lifeguard. He is also a supporting member of various nonprofit organizations.
